About the event
Join Te Kohuroa Rewilding and a panel of guest speakers on Saturday 23rd May to learn about the outcomes of the 2025-26 rewilding season and to add your voice to the future of marine restoration at Te Kohuroa Matheson Bay.
This season has brought together an incredible mix of community volunteers, organisations and conservation experts, all working to improve the health and wellbeing of the freshwater catchment and marine ecosystem. We invite you to come along and celebrate the project’s achievements.

Be the first to hear this season’s highlights, including increased freshwater monitoring, visible kelp regrowth at the restoration site, and a series of community restoration days to harvest kina for kaimoana (seafood) to support kelp recovery.
