About the event
Sunday 24th May | 10:00am – 12:00pm | Snells Beach
Join us for the first stage of a larger community planting project focused on restoring a wetland and gully area adjacent to Te Whau Walkway in Snells Beach. This is the beginning of a long-term effort to enhance native biodiversity, improve water quality, and bring life back to this important local landscape.
We’ll meet at the end of Dawson Road at 10am for a short briefing before heading on site. Spades and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
All volunteers are welcome—no experience needed, just a willingness to get stuck in.
What to bring: Good sturdy footwear (essential), a water bottle, and gloves if you have them. Spades will be provided.
Proudly supported by the Mahurangi Land Restoration Programme and Auckland Council.
