Takatu LandCare Planting Day
Takatu LandCare is restoring a block of land on the Tāwharanui Peninsula. This site will be an important feeding and rest way point for native birds traveling the peninsula and will also absorb nutrient and silt runoff.
We’ve prepared the ground, the landowners have fenced off the area, Auckland Council has funded the plants but now we need your help to plant. We’ll be doing this over two weekends.
When: Sunday 11 June, 9am
Where: Corner of Takatu and Whitmore roads
Bring: a spade, a drink and a friend
BBQ lunch provided
