About the event
With nearly four decades of experience and a background in biology, Andrew has worked on productions for the BBC, National Geographic, TVNZ and Discovery Channel. His work is known for capturing rare, behaviour-driven moments in marine life, revealing both the beauty and complexity of the underwater world.
Andrew’s book Whales, Snails and Lobster Tales brings together stories from diving adventures across the South Seas and beyond — from encounters with orca in New Zealand waters to filming giant cuttlefish and exploring Antarctica’s icy depths. Along the way, he shares the surprises, challenges and humour that come with life underwater.
This is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand stories from a filmmaker who has spent his life exploring the ocean and bringing its hidden world to the surface.
