About the event
This special site includes a coastal kauri grove, and the endangered matuku-hūrepo / Australasian bittern has been spotted on the property.
The planting is part of a wider restoration effort coordinated through the Whangateau Catchment Collective, showing what’s possible when landowners, Auckland Council, restoration partners, and local businesses work together for the catchment and harbour.
No experience is needed - just bring sturdy footwear (it will be wet underfoot), weather-appropriate clothing, and gloves if you have them.
We’ll have a BBQ lunch as a thank you for everyone’s mahi.
