Across Rodney East we are severely impacted by invasion of many of the worst weed species in New Zealand, including moth plant, ginger, privet, woolly nightshade and many others.
Thanks to the efforts of the individuals and volunteer groups, as well as landowners and agencies, we pride ourselves on the level of control we are able to exercise on weeds.
RRE works to assist all parties in the region to improve weed control effectiveness in a variety of ways such as advocating for action at agency level, education, promoting volunteer opportunities for involvement and supply of some sharable equipment that may be helpful to participants.
