Pākiri Community Landcare

Our small community at Pākiri facilitate the community and local school with planting projects, working with Trees That Count, Waicare and Trees for Survival programme. Our aim is to create a native forest corridor from the coast, Pakiri regional park and Pakiri river.

Pākiri Community Landcare work with Trees That Count, Waicare and Trees on survival programmes and facilitate community and school planting projects as well as carrying out trapping.

Pākiri Community Landcare’s mission is to create a lush native bush between Pākiri Regional Park and River.

The group are also looking to create public walkway access from the Pakiri village and school along Pakiri river to the beach.
