Puhoi Landcare Group

The Puhoi Landcare Group developed out of a recognition for a local body to encourage greater pest management within the Puhoi area.

The purpose of the Puhoi Landcare Group is to encourage and educate local landowners and the community on effective pest management for the benefit of the indigenous fauna and flora.

To this end the Puhoi Landcare Group aims to inform the community about pests, and weeds, how to deal with these issues, the use of traps and technology, suitable pest and weed control methodologies and how to keep records.

The PLG continues to be made up of local landowners, hunters, conservation groups and concerned citizens.

The Group is open for anyone to participate and reports to the Puhoi Community Forum on a monthly basis.
