Takatu Landcare is a community organisation with a vision of the Takatu Peninsula being a pest and weed free buffer zone for the Tāwharanui Open Sanctuary.

Takatu Landcare provides expert advice and support as well as undertaking pest animal and weed control and bird monitoring.

Takatu Landcare has identified gaps and supported the establishment and development of other local groups in the area, including the sourcing of materials, providing advice and bringing groups together for coffee meetings to share success and challenges
