Getting Ready for the Planting Season – Tools, Spades & BBQs at the Ready! 🌿🔧

With planting season approaching, we’ve been doing a full stocktake of our Shared Tools & Resources Library — and we’re thrilled to say everything’s in top shape and ready to go!

We’re especially excited to welcome two great additions:🪴 20 brand-new spades, just in time for those winter planting days🔥 A new BBQ, ideal for warming up volunteers and bringing people together after a hard morning’s mahi

These resources are only possible thanks to the generous support of our funders, and we’d like to give a big shoutout to Auckland Council, who made these latest additions possible. Ngā mihi nui! 🙌

Why a Shared Tools & Resources Library?

Restoration mahi often relies on the goodwill and hard work of volunteers. But we know that access to gear — like spades, gloves, gazebos, tables, and even a BBQ — can be the difference between a great event and one that’s hard to run.

Our Shared Tools & Resources Library is here to reduce those barriers. It supports local environmental and community groups by:

  • Saving time and money

  • Making events easier to run

  • Ensuring quality tools are available when they’re needed

  • Encouraging collaboration and shared care for our whenua

When groups share resources, we’re all stronger. And it’s more sustainable, too.

How to Book

If your group needs gear this season — whether it’s for a planting day, school project, trapping workshop or community BBQ — we’d love to help.

Let’s make this planting season a productive and connected one — supported by great people, great tools, and the power of community. 💚🌱
